Brow FAQs

  • You will receive an email with a link to complete your pre-appointment paperwork. This must be submitted before your scheduled appointment.

During your appointment, I will apply a topical lidocaine to numb your eyebrows. While the numbing cream takes effect, we will discuss your desired brow shape, size, and color. Once the numbing cream is removed, I will take before photos and begin mapping out and shaping your eyebrows.

I will present my recommended shape and color for your brows and encourage your feedback. Your satisfaction is my top priority—I will not begin the procedure until we both fully agree on the final design. While I want you to feel completely confident in your decision, please understand that I will only proceed with a look that aligns with my professional standards, as your brows are a reflection of my work.

If, at this stage, you decide not to move forward with the procedure for any reason, you will not be responsible for the remaining balance; however, the $100 booking fee is non-refundable.

At the end of your session, we will review aftercare instructions, take after photos, schedule your touch-up appointment, and finalize any remaining balance.

  • Fading is a natural part of the tattoo process, occurring gradually over time. While some individuals may eventually notice their tattoo becoming barely visible, there is often still some residual color that lingers. The speed and extent of fading vary from person to person, influenced by factors such as lifestyle choices, skin health, skincare routines, age, and the advancements in techniques, technology, and pigments within the cosmetic tattoo industry. It's essential for those getting cosmetic tattoos to recognize that fading or even removal may be part of the process. For those looking to remove their tattoos, laser treatment is typically the most effective and efficient option.

  • Here are some important factors to consider based on skin type:

Normal/Dry Skin: Microblading and Nano work best on normal to dry skin types, as they heal well and retain pigment more effectively.

Thick/Oily/Acne-Prone Skin: Microblading and Nano may not be as effective on oily skin or skin with large pores. Excess oil can cause hair strokes to blur and heal lighter or more powdery than expected. Oily skin may also require more frequent touch-ups. To achieve better results, I recommend adding manual shading to your service.

Mature Skin: As mature skin tends to be thinner and more delicate, it may experience increased bleeding, pigment loss, or migration.

Dark-Complexioned Skin: There may be less contrast and visible detail in the microbladed strokes on darker skin tones.

Thin Skin: Due to the fragility of thin skin, microblading is not recommended, as it may cause issues with healing and pigment retention.

  • Most cosmetic tattoos will fade and soften over time, while still staying close to the original tone. However, certain lifestyle factors—such as iron deficiencies, sun exposure, or skincare routines—can cause colors to shift. During your follow-up appointment, I will evaluate the original pigment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure long-lasting results.

It’s important to note that all pigments are created using primary colors. Over time, the base color of the pigment may become more noticeable. For optimal results, it’s recommended to have color refreshers every 3-4 years.

  • What to Expect During the Initial Healing Period:

In the first few days after your microblading session, your eyebrows may appear darker and more intense than expected. This is completely normal, and they can look up to 20% darker and 10% thicker during the first 3-5 days as they begin to heal.

    Days 4-5 Healing:

During days 4-5, you may notice some itching, peeling, or flaking of the skin. It’s very important that you resist the urge to pick or pull at the skin, as this can lead to pigment loss and potential changes in color.

Why Do My Eyebrows Look Lighter Between Days 10-14?

Between days 10 and 14, your brows may appear significantly lighter. This is part of the natural healing process, and the color will gradually return and stabilize after about two weeks.

What If Some Strokes Lighten Too Much or Disappear After 30 Days?

Once your brows are fully healed after 30 days, you might notice that some strokes have lightened too much or disappeared entirely. During your follow-up appointment, I will evaluate how your brows have healed and make any necessary adjustments to the shape and color to ensure the best outcome.

    Precautions During the Healing Process:

To ensure your brows heal properly, it’s important to avoid the following during the healing period:

    • Avoid applying makeup, face wash, lotions, or other products directly on or around your eyebrows.

    • Avoid activities that make you sweat.

    • Do not use harsh cleansers near or on your brows.

    • Keep bath towels, tissues, or washcloths away from your face.

    • Refrain from scrubbing the eyebrow area.

    • Avoid hot, steamy showers, especially those with direct contact from the shower head.

    • Do not swim, especially in pools, jacuzzis, or saunas.

    • Try not to sleep on your side to prevent rubbing your brows.

    • Avoid prolonged sun exposure.

    • Keep your eyebrows safe from dust, dirt, or gardening activities.

  • As a safety measure, we do not perform tattoos on pregnant or nursing mothers. However, I look forward to working with you once it is safe to do so. If you have already booked an appointment and later discover you are pregnant, I will hold your booking fee for up to one year.

  • Microblading is an innovative cosmetic tattooing technique that uses a manual handheld tool to create fine hair strokes by depositing pigment into the skin.

This method is designed to blend seamlessly with your natural brow hairs. The more brow hair you have, the more realistic the results will be. For those with sparse or minimal eyebrow hair, the results may appear more 2D, and multiple sessions may be needed to achieve your desired look.

Microblading isn’t meant to replace eyebrow makeup. If you typically wear bold, made-up brows, you may still want to enhance them with makeup. However, microblading offers the flexibility to add definition and volume when you wish, while on no-makeup days, you'll enjoy beautifully shaped brows that naturally enhance your features.

  • Ombre Brows, also known as Ombre Powder Brows, are a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique designed to give the brows a soft, shaded effect — similar to the look of perfectly filled-in makeup. Unlike traditional microblading, which uses tiny hair-like strokes to mimic natural brow hairs, ombre brows are created with a fine, pixelated technique that gradually builds color density from light to dark, resulting in a beautifully blended, powdery finish.

This method is ideal for clients who want a fuller, more defined brow look that remains soft and natural. It’s also an excellent option for those with oily or mature skin, as the pigment tends to retain its shape and vibrancy longer than microblading alone.

The best part? Ombre brows are fully customizable — from soft and subtle to bold and dramatic, your brows can be tailored to complement your unique features and personal style.

Healing typically takes 4–6 weeks, and results can last 1–3 years with proper care. A perfecting session (or touch-up) is recommended around 8–10 weeks after the initial appointment to refine shape and color.

  • Pain tolerance can vary from person to person. To ensure comfort throughout the procedure, I use two different topical numbing agents that contain 5% lidocaine and epinephrine. While the procedure might feel slightly uncomfortable, it is generally not unbearable. If you have a very low pain tolerance, this procedure may not be ideal for you. However, 99% of my clients report that it is mostly painless.

  • To ensure the best results from your procedure, please avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, niacin, ibuprofen, or any blood thinners for at least 24 hours before your appointment. While I understand that skipping coffee can be difficult, bleeding during the procedure can affect the results and may waste your investment.

If you've had Botox injections, it's recommended to wait at least 6 weeks before booking your microblading session.

Additionally, refrain from taking vitamin E or fish oil for 24 hours before the procedure.

Discontinue the use of vitamin A, retinol, glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and any other exfoliating or skin-regenerating products two weeks prior to your appointment.

Brow shaping with waxing or tinting should be done at least 72 hours before your procedure.

Avoid exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

If you are currently taking Accutane, you must be off the medication for at least one year before proceeding with microblading.

Please note that if your brow structure is highly uneven, Botox may be recommended before scheduling your appointment with me.
